“I sat there, eyes closed, the wind at war with my hair.
Allowing the sand to shift all around me,
I inhale the sun and sea kissed air.
And exhale things held past their time.
There’s just something about this place that feels so free.”
My daughter surprises me sometimes when she takes photos without me knowing. This was a nice moment from after we had been swimming for hours in the warm water (aaahhh) and was just sitting in silence, resting.
And what I wanted to say about this moment I actually found in a poem written by Elowen Grey (I just read a a lot of poems online today) and felt it’s remarkable how poems already written can pin point your exact feeling.
So for this post I didn’t need to do anything. The photo idea and the words were someone elses. Thanks!
!Buen fin de semana! (Have a nice weekend!)
